Since 2004, East of Eden has been serving the needs of at-risk companion animals in the SF East Bay/CA Central Valley. Over the years, we have developed a set of tried-and-true best practices. We know what works and what doesn’t, and there are very few situations we haven’t already experienced and dealt with successfully.
EOE has always been dedicated to finding innovative ways to better serve the animals in our community and their owners. The Central Valley TNR program, and the canine training apprentice program, are two recent examples of our cutting-edge ideas to offer help to more animals. We pride ourselves on the level of followup care given to our adopters, and to the community at large. These include: training assistance, medical assistance, security deposit assistance, etc. We are committed to doing the right thing for the animals in our rescue, no matter what.
In addition, we know how to run a sustainable organization. No one is well served by a rescue constantly running on the ragged edge. We balance our organizational needs with the needs of the community, and can ensure that EOE will be around for years to come. Finally, we have built great partnerships with our veterinary and behavioral service providers, with our adoption partners, and with our local shelters
