Moose has exceeded all of our expectations. He hasn’t met a single person or dog he hasn’t liked. Everyone who has met him has been impressed and adore him. If I had started one, I would have a list a mile long of people who ask if I ever wanted to give him up to think of them. I always tell them you’d have to fight to get him. Even the ladies at the Vet were impressed, and I wasn’t sure I could get him back.
He loves to walk and greets anyone around, especially the kids. They are a little anxious to begin with, as are some adults, but he just sits there and lets them pet him. The little dogs (yappers), as I call them, get right next to him and bark away, and he couldn’t care less. He loves to travel and visit. Took him to my exes for a family lunch, and I thought we would throw his hips out, wagging his tail.
He loves tug of war, but I can’t beat him. I throw the ball against the wall in the backyard, and he pounces on it but brings it back. He’ll set his massive front legs and chest down and won’t move til he wants to. He could already shake hands, but my oldest daughter taught him to fist bump. He’ll raise his paw and tap your hand.
In short, I’m very happy with Moose, and seems to be happy here. I thank you guys for the care you take with the rescues and Jenna for sending me the original picture. I will admit he looked a little different in the picture as he has a huge head that camouflages the rest of his body, but I have had people stop on the road while walking him and ask what kind of dog he is, and I also say, no, there will be no offspring. He is a treat, and again, I thank you.
